Youth To Business

"Today was such a great experience and eye opening as I participated Youth to Business organized by AIESEC."

That was my posting in Facebook status.
Trying to recall about the event, but the only memory I able to trace back was I took public transport (LRT) to Kelana Jaya station and took shuttle to Taylor's Uni from there. And the entry fee was RM30 as per information below.

The information about the forum is from the following link that posted a YouTube video what Youth To Business (Y2B) about.

Malaysia Youth to Business Forum

Explore and discuss Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Corporate Social Responsibility with top corporations from around Malaysia.

7 Corporations. 3 topics. 1 platform to bring it all together.

Themed “How to build Malaysia’s youth to be a future competitive business leader globally”, the forum is divided into three main tracks namely Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Corporate Social Responsibility led by the representatives of the six organisations. They will discuss how youth can contribute in these three key areas and provide insights to the corporate world via keynote speeches, interactive workshops, active discussions and case studies.

Last year, the Y2B forum, which was led by Nippon Paint, Naga DDB, Accenture and ING, attracted over 600 students from all around Malaysia. This year, AIESEC Malaysia aims to increase the number to 1,000 participants. The corporations present for 2013 is MSC, Accenture, P&G, Microsoft, Ernst & Young, Danone, and Standard Chartered Bank.

Malaysian Youth to Business Forum is part of the international Y2B Forum held by AIESEC globally.
Entry fee is only priced at RM30 per person.
Date: 29th January 2013
Time: 9am-6pm

And also, the memory of there is a group discussion during one of the sessions by MSC where I got to know a lot of amazing young talents/new friends from different major study background. Meet an old school friend from SJI too. And not forgetting two new friends from same major study background (civil engineering). ^.^

UMP CNY DinneR

After long tiring months, weeks and days of preparation, with lots of time sacrificed. The BIG day has arrived!!!,…UMP CNY Dinner with about 60-70 tables of guests and lots of VVIP,..the pressure is definitely on. Can’t afford to embarrass my uni with lousy performance from the students, can’t make any single mistake during the event and ya gotta make everyone happy by the end of the day,…it’s not as easy as you thought!!!,….having sleepless nights for the whole week just to prepare all these and skipped some classes as well as abandoned study works,…gosh lots of catch up after this CNY event!!!

Thankfully everything went well tonight and I can have a BIG RELIEVE,…a free of mind without any nonsense problems coming after,..

PEACEFUL LIFE HERE I COME!!!,…

And once again,…..

THANK YOU SO MUCH to the CNY Programme Unit Members to make this dinner a success!!!

The BIG Smile ^.^ of everyone after the event!!!

PeStA TaNgLuNg '09

My very first time going to Pesta Tanglung in uni,…I know the actual was 2 weeks pass but since my uni’s schedule is kinda packed therefore they postponed to today,…well during school time I am always more eager about such festival cause I believe it is the most happening festival among Chinese tradition besides Chinese New Year,….the committee used Block W as event place with a welcome deco and a well decorated stage,….around the place also been decorated with lots of nice deco,..and there is a place special for making wishes too just besides such a beautiful lighter latern,…..i did make a wish too,…erm thought of posting the pic about my wish guess better not la,…hehehehehehehhe….at first I never thought of joining any competition,..not drawing don even say calligraphy,…some how got the excitement in joining especially when Darren offered to help with the writing,…so I joined for fun lo,…

Here’s the process during my calligraphy work and its final result,…

So then we proceed exploring the carnival and the food stalls available there,…bought some to fill my hungry stomach,….bought ‘tong yuen’ and peanut glutinous rice (correct me if I am wrong),…..so then feeling bored while waiting for the opening ceremony to start,..I then walked around and taking pics here and there,…especially the deco,…wonder what happened to my camera,….most pic went blur,…and since I heard there is 24 seasons drum performance and my coursemate, shang qian involved so must give some support though me and phooi keat trying to the scene with these following pics,….heheheheheheh

Just managed to captured a few pic that is clear when they playing drum and just managed to record the last one minute part of the performance,….

After watching several fantastic performances besides the 24 seasons drum performance,…when the carnival coming to an ending,…everyone went to the games stalls instead and when time is getting late,…I am just basically waiting for others, those involved in pt committee to clean up after everything is over,…by time Darren, han wau and I went to payung putih to start the first piece of mooncake but they didn’t stay long,… I asked others to have a mooncake party as I have 2 pieces of mooncakes and so do Swee Ing,….once everything done is about 12 and yet we still go on with the mini mooncake party,….then slowly each and one came,..including chun yeen, who came first then swee ing, wai mun, wai fen, and Nicholas,…gosh by the time we were eating the mooncakes we just got to know it was nicholas’s b’day on the 16th,…so here I am wishing him HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY NICHOLAS!!!,……the six of us chatted for hours and hours without realizing how late it was,…Nicholas and wai fen went back first as it is getting more late,….the other 4 of us chatted some more till just now and so are we going back and have our late night sleep,…. And now I just bathed and settle down for a moment …till then nights!!!

indeed, another rushing day for me since I was busy preparing something before going to school & had to meet up someone at LRT earlier before going up to the school. Reached school at 5pm and thought it had already started. And yet it is still only registration time. Thank God!!!! Sweating like hell once got there. Then ain't so sure waited for how long, finally the event started. All sorts of speeches & intro n then started off with ‘ice breaking’ session, clue is we have to find the person who wrote their appearance characteristic earlier in a piece of paper. Then managed to be found and when come to grouping, our group sort of play cheat by jumping in the queue to make up of 10 persons who we really close and know of course except some from other school like SBU guy who found me earlier lol. such a long event in the hall lol with some group performances as we had to sing a song from every group then continue with other performances including dancing & some chinese instrument playing by shuh huey. Of course, the event only comes to a peak when the sky turned dark. And then it started off with lighting the lantern then with some group games as well. Didn’t participate much as I have no extra shirt to change cos there was game involved water & might get wet. But it was still fun to see others played and get wet though. Hahahahaha….the event ended off with tat game & other ceremony like prize giving ceremony & certificate ceremony for the EXCO members of Chinese Society of '08. but actually, before all those ceremonies most of us already started to have our own fun with the candles, camwhore, splashing water etc……& peng mun even brought mooncake (‘shanghai’ mooncake) & Chinese tea as he promised for me to try lol…..erm yummy, nice mooncake & nice tea to enjoy!!!!!,..that’s about it on the mooncake festival celebration at SJI by Chinese Society……

HaRi PeNgHaRgAaN KoKo

the 2nd time for i participated or shud i say, be a recipient during this year Hari Penghargaan Kokurikulum....but this time the feeling is really diff cos it is really the final time for me to get involve in such event of the skol since it is my FINAL year in SJI....no more form 7 or form 8 for me to come bak n study...hahaha....and it is the last major event in the skol i will be helping out.....however i didnt really feel th excitement for this time, not bcos it is my 2nd time but bcos of how the event was organised....not to make a big fuss out of it, ever since last year Hari Koko became very simple and low profile unlike the year when i was f5, the event was superb grand as Rakan Cop program was launch on that day....so tat particular year of Hari Koko was really special.....i felt the excitement bak den compare to this year where we had to rush from one place to another just because the certificate giving ceremony was done in the badminton hall so, everyone had to get things done in the badminton hall and also tarmac since there were performances at the tarmac.......alright alright enuf of the fussy stuffs, though the event wasnt grand or exciting but still i managed to enjoyed out of it.....guess because it is the last duty for major event as CP, so i seem more relax and enjoy not forgetting the lower forms CP mostly in charged n help out in this event, so we, the retiring CP to be, had much less burden.....brought my 'darling canon' tat day....so manage to snap pics here n dere whenever i was bored with the duty...hahahahaha.....and yea after the whole event ended went down with some friends to al-wira to meet up pui2, so sorry she waited so long there for us......chatted quite some time be4 went bak...tat's all about tat day......see the pics more interesting!!!

CBN & SJI iNsTaLLaTiOn MaSs

today went to CBN Catholic Chapel as ryan invited my society and members to go to thier installation mass event......came slightly late cos got lost in the girls' jungle....hahahhaha.....no la cos were rushing up to finish up some stuffs be4 go there......i think i can consider it is my 1st time stepping in a chapel cos previous i only had visited for a while in my skol chapel for some meet up and also went once to a church at my hometown during x'mas.....was amazed tat the chapel is way longer n bigger than my skol chapel....den once got there, they started wif 'cleasing of ourelves'...if i not mistaken and ritual after ritual....was so so blur, n wondering wat was happening cos so many rituals and songs which i not familiar with.....trying hard to listen wat the priest said and partially understand since some terms used is based from the bible......and then after all the rituals they move on wif the installation mass for both cbn n sji catholic society....seeing the way they pass on the board to the new board really makes me feel so touched cos it is like some ritual/ceremony of blessing from the old board to the new board by passing the candle from the snr to the jnr...it is really meaningful...really an eye opener experience for me....hope my members who didnt turn up today will able to attend this event next year for them to get to know more about other religious so they will be expose to different story of the religions in this country.

May peace with you

JIGGS GaThErInG

it is the second time i went to JIGSS prefects' gathering......the 1st time was 3 years back when i was form 4...wow such a long time rite??.....but this time i went wif diff batch of prefects....didnt even expect will go wif them....be4 i move on...i sincerely apologies to sara & sandip cos i was late and they had to wait for so long for me tat day...thank God we still not late to the gathering or else.....i think i will be a ghost by now...cos sara will kill me!!!....ok ok back to the topic...as i said i really didnt expect to go gathering wif both of them as for sandip, i didnt expect tat he is gonna be a prefect in our in f6 and actually changed so much after being prefect and get to know the new him more as time pass by...last time i rarely able to know him when f5 cos he wasnt a prefect so the wrong impression about him was there dy.....for sara, it is so funny....3 years back i went to JIGSS gathering and she was actually the MC for the gathering back then, n now 3 years later she is our skol prefect and even skol Head Girl...tat is AMAZING!!!...and in the end she herself visited her skol as our skol prefect....weird rite???.....ok ok about the gathering, as always JIGSS prefects always able to put up all sorts of gicmic and nice theme and performances....really an eye opener event for other skol prefects to get some idea for thier own skol gathering!!!.....they did had some activity or game for the guests but all took part...some how i was being called to the front stage to join sara and other prefects to play some "mummy wrapping game"....not a good way to show recycling cos used up whole roll of tissue but it was fun!!!....we had to wrap up a person body entirely until we create our own version of mummy...my group [which differ from sara's group] created a "Blind Mummy" with an oxygen host on it.....sounds simple n yet can win among other groups and known as the most creative mummy...hahahaha..!!!!.....ya ya a lil self praise here...wat to do won the prize ma....but see the following pics below;

Ghost souvenir with the prize won!!!

Ghost souvenir & a mug

price of the mug [RM9.90]

no offence to any prefects of JIGSS....just saje put nee cos i cant believe they didnt realise they didnt take off the price tag.....the gain of the day is as follow;....hahahaha

entry fees = RM6.00
price = RM9.90
GAIN = RM3.90

oh ya not forgetting food...guess i even gain >RM3.90....hahahha...anyway the calculation was calculated just for fun.....overall i really enjoyed going this gathering....it was fun and lots of interesting performances by the prefects of JIGSS....not forgetting they invited Vivien from Superstar 2 to perform since she was a student from JIGSS.......tat's all from now....catch up with u all more soon!!!
